Gastronomynomy & Restaurants
Liguria is a paradise not only for biking and climbing, but also for food lovers. Italians expect restaurant meals to be something they could never easily cook at home – and that’s exactly how it works around Vezzi. Below are our favourite aperitivo spot and two traditional restaurants mostly visited by locals.
Il Negozietto – deli & aperitivo
A small local shop within walking distance from the house, which also serves as a perfect aperitivo spot with a beautiful view. Ideal for a morning cappuccino, small groceries, a glass of wine or a negroni at sunset.
Cornei
A traditional restaurant in the Cornei valley, mostly frequented by locals. Simple, generous portions and a typical Ligurian atmosphere.
Elio's Trattoria
Our other favourite restaurant. A classic Italian trattoria with a genuine local feel, where you will often be the only foreigners.
On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are usually Il Negozieto, Cornei and Elio's fully booked, so a reservation is necessary. You will often be the only non-locals there – which is the best recommendation you can get.
